Another week comes to an end, way too soon.  In storage again, until the next leg, the Pacific coast.

Columbia Glacier, the hike up.

Scratches in the bedrock, made by the moving glacier.

Someone quickly discovered that shorts were not a good idea at the glacier (aka ice)

The sign we had to climb over in order to get good pictures.

Glacier melt, dang cold water.

Town of Jasper, a nice place.

Mount Robson in the distance, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies

Hijacked by mountain sheep.
They went from car to car, and inspected what they could eat.
Did not pay us much attention, I guess bikers don't feed so well as motorists.

Cheeky chipmunks, they like chocolate!

Can't beat these riding conditions.

Midsummer ice and snow, great weather.

Biker chick!

The "Mounties". Damn horses crapped in the street.

Still early morning, no wind on the lakes yet.

Near the Columbia Icefield Glacier.

Glacial lakes in the icefields, where to look is the problem.

A rainy, foggy early morning in Lake Louise.  Sun came out just in time for a shot of the glacier.

Leg 3.5 Heading up the Icefields Parkway, Canadian Rockies

On the way up, ran through a nasty hailstorm in Montana.  Looked good coming up to it, but then all hell broke loose..

The end of third leg, resting in storage in Calgary, Alberta. Covered 1920 miles.

Moonrise over the Rockies

This is more like it. Away from the tourists, the Canadian Rockies.

Some famous hotel in Banff, still too many tourists.

Lake Louise glacier, Banff, Canada.
Too many tourists.

Riding through Kootenai to Banff.
Wind, rain, hail, more wind, lots more rain, plenty hail..
Also discovered that rainsuit has a flaw, 30mph wind and rain from the left side, will be forced up left leg.

The Road To The Sun
Wow!
